so… i live in the middle of nowhere. i’ve established this. but i’m presenting this as the case as to why i should never have a shortage of places to shoot wildlife. self motivation if you will
upstate new york. midstate, if you’re from upstate new york. but upstate to everyone else. if i follow 90 north, its albany. 90 east, its boston. south, new york city. but, where i am is a huge swath of absolutely beautiful countryside… my town has a higher head count on livestock than people.
on the map to the right you’ll see lots of green. and some tan areas… those are fields, for the record. we do have a major interstate, and i’m only 15 minutes away from western mass. pleeeeenty of greenery to shoot.
even farther zoomed in. i live a field. with a mile long driveway. all i have to do to find something to shoot is walk out my back door, heh. still mastering dealing with day light though… polarizing filter helps, a lot. sunset helps too… and i’m never, ever up for dawn :/
okay, now that i’ve gone over this, hopefully it’ll help to explain my forth-coming mass of wildlife photos… flowers in particular, they’re easier to catch than coyotes. and safer.
if anyone who happens along this happens to be based out of upstate new york, contact me. i’m always looking for someone to shoot with…
